LSK-LEGAL-SUB-PROCESSORS-V1.0
At a glance
A plain-language summary. The numbered clauses below are what legally applies.
- Seven providers, each named, with what they actually do.
- None of them is a payment processor — Khata has no checkout.
- None of them is an advertising or analytics network.
- We publish changes here before new providers start handling your data.
1. What This Document Is
1.1A sub-processor is a company that stores or handles your data so that we can run Khata for you. This page names all of them.
1.2Each is bound by contract to process data only to deliver its service to us, and not for its own purposes.
1.3"Trusted service providers" without names tells you nothing. This list exists so you can check who is involved and make your own judgement.
2. Infrastructure
2.1These hold or move your business records:
- MongoDB Atlas (MongoDB, Inc.) — managed database hosting. Holds your customers, products, orders, ledgers and related records.
- Amazon Web Services — EC2. Runs the Khata application servers that process your requests.
- Amazon Web Services — S3. Stores files and images you upload, such as product photos and business logos.
- Vercel Inc. — serves the lskhata.com marketing website. It does not hold your business records.
3. Product Features
3.1These are used by specific features:
- Google (Gemini API) — powers the in-app AI assistant. What you type into the assistant is sent to Google to generate a reply. If you never use the assistant, nothing is sent.
- Email delivery over SMTP — sends account, verification and notification email.
- Expo (650 Industries, Inc.) — delivers push notifications to your device, and only where you have enabled them.
3.2The AI assistant is optional. It is the only feature that sends your content to a third party for processing rather than storage.
4. Not Used
4.1For the avoidance of doubt, we use no payment processor, no advertising network, no analytics provider, and no data broker. See the Cookie Policy for the detail.
5. Changes To This List
5.1When we add a sub-processor, we publish a new version of this document with an effective date before that provider begins handling your data.
5.2The version history on this page records every addition and removal, so you can see how the list has changed over time rather than only its current state.
5.3To be told about changes, or to raise an objection to a particular provider, contact privacy@lacspace.com.
